Bay of Plenty / Te Moana-a-Toi covers a large geographical area, including the wider Bay of Plenty, Tauranga, and Rotorua. Its climate, beaches, amenities and easy access to other major centres makes the Bay of Plenty a desirable place to live.
The region is home to many thriving industries, including horticulture, forestry, agriculture, transport, freight, energy and tourism.
Manufacturing and construction are the largest contributors to regional GDP, while Health care, community services and retail trade are the region’s biggest employers.
